SPECIAL NEEDS HORSE: Mooch…Adopted!

Hi, I’m Mooch. I needed a very special person to take care of me and awaken the courageous spirit inside me, that was beaten into hiding years ago. My long-ago owner neglected and abused me by hitting me in the head with 2x4s. I was afraid of everything when I came to Fresh Start. After years of gentle treatment and training, I have learned to associate people with kindness! I still suffer from sudden terrors. I haven’t an aggressive bone in my body, and I feel safe as long as I’m not tied. I enjoy being petted and eating treats. This summer of 2010 I am at last adopted, by a wonderful couple who have given me the run of their pasture and woodlands, and the promise of love and security for the rest of my life!
