Welcome, newbies!

Dun mare and foal in holding pen at livestock auction

Today the Rescue Stork brought four unexpected blessings to Fresh Start: A dun pony and her adorable foal, a pregnant sorrel Quarter horse, and the possibility of the new life inside her.

The dun mare appears to be in the worst shape:

…and the sorrel has a nasty-looking wound on her shoulder, and is obviously in pain from it.

Being pregnant and in such poor condition, this girl is going to need lots of prayers, nutritious food, and TLC.

All three of these gals are real sweeties, and we’re in love already. They are going to need a lot of help. Please consider helpimg with their feed and rehab by clicking our Donate Now button.  Check out Facebook for more pictures, and they will win your heart!

If you need a confident person to halter brake or take these horses on i would be happy too. We have a 1000 acre station with 10 horse, 4 ponies and some fillies and colts. We have hard feed, hay and water avalible all and every day.
