Running with friends while fostered on a ranch
I’m a beautiful 1987 purebred Arabian granddaughter of *Bask. When I came to the rescue in 2007, I was pregnant and very thin. I was being used as a broodmare, but even then the pregnancies took too much out of me, even with pelleted feed and supplements. To prevent further hardship, I was purchased so that I’d never have to bear the burden of a foal again.
I’m gentle and friendly, and love the attention I get from the FSHR people and visitors. Adoption is not out of the question for me. But because of my age, “retired broodmare” status, and senior care requirements, it seems unlikely; and I am much-loved after being here so long. So, I’m learning to be an empowerment horse for youth and volunteer education. I enjoy grooming, Parelli ground games, gentle rides, and being loved on. I’m just starting out with the saddle, and I really don’t mind it at all.
By sponsoring me, you will help with the expense of my care and feeding. I’m also saving up for some tack and grooming supplies to be used just for me. To sponsor me, just click the “donate” button. For information on adoption, you can email us through the contact form or info@freshstarthorserescue.org.
