ADOPTABLE!
I'm Brandy, a beautiful four-year-old
Quarter Horse.
I am gentle, friendly and started under saddle.
Here I am, being ridden by Jason Patrick at 2010 Four States Ag Expo "Colt
graduation." You can see that I have a very feminine face. I love people and I'm eager to please.
Jason says I will be a good pleasure/trail horse.

ADOPTABLE!
I am Angel. I'm really
sweet, and love people.
I'm
blind in one eye, and mostly blind in the other. I get around very
well by following my nose, and
I
trust my peeps not to lead me into things. I lead, load, farrier, pony the
grandkids, and make a wonderful pasture ornament or companion for a very
gentle gelding who would not push me around. I'm about ten years old. |

SPECIAL NEEDS HORSE: Mooch
Adoptable under certain
conditions
Hi, I'm Mooch (Christmas Day 2008), a tall,
12-year-old paint. I love to be petted and brushed in the field, and will
make a wonderful friend for the special person to gain my trust. I am
easygoing with other horses and would be a perfect pasture companion for a
lonely horse. I cannot be ridden, and I don't feel safe when tied because
of past abuse. A very special person might awaken the courageous spirit
inside me, that was literally beaten into hiding years ago.

ADOPTABLE!
I'm Silly Wizard, an American Mustang saved from slaughter in August, 2005. I was starved,
terrified, worm-infested and very sick.
Here I am after a training demo at the Four States Ag Expo in March, 2009. I love
attention and am rapidly gaining confidence. I've been started under
saddle. I'm 14.2 hh, sleek and trim and LOVE TO RUN. The right
horsewoman will win me over.

ADOPTABLE!
I am Winnie Winchester. I was abused and starved
nearly to death. The only thing that kept me alive was the instinct to
protect my foal, Sam, from those awful humans and other dangers. I wouldn't
let the humans at Fresh Start touch me at first, but Sam made friends with
them. Now, I know that they just want to coo over me, and I have excellent
manners. I'm small, sturdy, and gentle. I like quiet trail rides with
other horses and I also step out in the arena. I would be good for a 4-H kid
who knows how to ride, or a small adult who wants to be close to the ground. I would love to tote my very
own human over mountains and
molehills! |

ADOPTABLE!
I am Pinky, also known as Tinkerbelle. I was orphaned as a
young foal during a roundup south of Mesa Verde, and a family bottle-fed me.
I came to Fresh Start as a three-year-old. I am a great companion and
a fun trail horse, although I do not think of myself as a horse at
all, usually. |

ADOPTED!
I am Lady Black, a dark grulla mare. The Ryans
saved me in 2005 by outbidding the dealers at the sale barn. I was a wild,
unapproachable, even dangerous two-year-old. After lots of time and
patience, I am now halter broke, lead, load, farrier, have excellent ground
manners and am eager to get started in a career with a human who loves me. |

Hi there, I'm Sam. *ADOPTED!*
I'm a bay colt without a speck of white on me.
I love my humans.
They say they "rescued my mom from slaughter" last year,
to "keep me from being an orphan," whatever that means.
I've had a great life, and I am just the cutest thing, and I know it.
For a little pistol like myself, I have incredibly good
manners. I stand tied quietly, and you
can do just about anything with me easily,
including trim my feet.
